We'll be doing a 20 min. featured artist set at an event called THE WARM UP from 7:50pm - 8:10pm. It's a unique open mic event and the full description is below. Tickets are 10$ from 7pm onward or by donation before 7pm. The Slack Key Lounge is inside Hawaiian Brian's on the 2nd floor.
The Warm Up event aims to create a platform where experienced musicians and emerging artists with a passion for music can come together. This is achieved through the use of Featured Acts and an Open Mic segment, both of which are thoughtfully curated but also allow for creativity to flow freely. The event is hosted and organized by Omni MC, who is motivated to foster a sense of unity among the Island's musical community. The Warm Up seeks to pay homage to past musical innovators while also supporting upcoming musicians by promoting collaborative musical expression and motivational entertainment.
The event starts promptly at 7 pm, following Open Mic sign-ups at 6:30 pm, and concludes at 10 pm. The evening's proceedings commence with a 10- to 15-minute community jam to set the mood, after which the Open Mic and Featured Artists take the stage. It is recommended that attendees arrive on time and stay until the end of the performance to fully experience the musical journey. The night concludes with a lively jam session that is guaranteed to get everyone dancing and elevate the energy levels.

We'll be opening this Maui Fundraiser event from 5:00pm - 5:45pm. Maui Aloha Music concert & Aerial Dance performance fundraiser event to support Maui from 4pm - 8:30pm. Local vendors food drinks and DJ dance party.

Local entertainment with live music Brighter Side of Sol & Kailua's own Nalu Collective! Aerial Dance performances by NOE NOE Hawai’i. Food, Drinks & Vendors in front outdoor courtyard 4-7pm and big wave rider DJ Keala Kennelly Dance party 7-8:30pm. All ages welcome! Proceeds from all sales will go to the Maui Strong Fund and the People's Fund of Maui.

Michael Tanenbaum - Guitarist/Composer
Michael Tanenbaum is a Celtic inspired instrumental guitarist based in Honolulu, Hawaii. His music is inspired by the power of the land, light and ocean waters of the islands. The islands' Hawaiian Slack Key guitar music inspired him to re-explore the guitar after 25 years at the piano. In time, he incorporated his northern Celtic music roots with the tranquility and beauty of his new home in a fusion of what he now calls locally, "Celtic Slack Key". He's an innovative composer/guitarist of instrumental music that can be described as visual "Guitar Tapestries" - music you can SEE. Storytelling for him takes the form of acoustic journeys through changing landscapes. His major guitar influences include: Bruce Cockburn, Michael Hedges, Leo Kottke, Don Ross, Alex De Grassi, Pat Metheny, Franco Morone and Makana.
Michael has composed music for film and modern dance extensively. His music has been scored in several films: the local food movement film "Ingredients Hawaii" (2012), the giant wave surf film "Finding Aloha 2" (2010) and the documentary "Hawaii: Long Story Short" (2009) which explores Hawaii's geological emergence from the ocean floor.
For guitar performance and composition, he placed among the top 5 finalists in the 2009 Fingerstyle Guitar Competition at the Canadian Guitar Festival in Kingston, Ontario Canada. In the same year, his Big Island inspired tune "Road To Waimea" was nominated for Best World song at this year's New Music Awards in the Barrie New Music Festival in Canada.
In 2003 Michael won a silver medal for original composition in the World Championships of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles - an Olympic style competition among musicians from around the world.
Michael graduated from Brown University where he was first introduced to computer and electronic music. Since then, his fascination with all things acoustic and digital has led him to bring those two worlds together in a variety of engaging ways. From live performance art to intricate studio work, the elegant union of these different worlds is his life work.
